Heros

Filed under: Uncategorized —— orangeworld @ 1:37 am

I believe a hero is a person who would do anything to save someone else, even if it is a person that they don’t know. Heros are very modest, and do not like newspapers, interveiws or tabloids of any kind. Heros are kind to everyone and always try to do the right thing. Though they may not want to do some things, but they do them anyway, because other people are relying on them and need their help. That’s what I think heros are made of; courage (though it may not show) and good will.

Chapter one - The Hobbit.

In a hole in a ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozey smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat; it was a hobbit hole, and that means comfort.

The open log fire was crackling with warmth as it dimly lit up the room. Bilbo sat in his comfortable arm chair and put his feet up on the coushin stool. At last it was time for him to sit back and relax. He admired the ornaments on the heath that he and the Tookish side of the family had gathered over the years. His small chest of treasure sparkled in the dim light. The adventure was over, and Bilbo only had left to write about it.

The short hobbit, (who was now a lot stronger that when this all began) slowly rose from his chair to make a pot of tea. As he bustled about the kitchen he once more heard the sweet sound of his kettle whistling. Oh how he missed that sound. He took it off the stove and poured the steaming water into the antique china pot. He went back to the lounge and slid into his writing chair. He pondered for a while over how he should start his tale. He could hear only the ticking of the grandfather clock and the crackle and pop of the fire. His chair creaked as he shifted his position, dipped his feather quill into his black ink and began to write.

Juggling Mandarines

Filed under: Uncategorized —— orangeworld @ 5:09 pm

Hey people.

I have to make a blog about the book that we have just read in English so here it is.

Juggling Mandarines was a good book for me because it was interesting and short. I couldn’t put it down. It was a bit predictable but I still liked it.

The book was about a boy named Phil, though everyone called him Pip. He plays soccer. His dad is one of those people who like to push their kids into things that they don’t want to do. Every soccer match he is on the sidelines yelling at Phil telling him what to do and pointing out every mistake he made. This made Phil really hate playing soccer.

A big sporing stadium was being built, and before the grand opening, Phil sneaks in and explores. He comes across a rock climbing wall, and starts to climb in the dim light. He has no harness and he climbs to the top. This is when he finds out how much he is sweating, and he is stuck up there. This was the start to his passion for climbing. He climbs in secret, not letting his dad know a thing.

Pip eventually stands up to his dad, except not in the best way. His dad doesn’t talk to Phil anymore and lets Phils mum take him to soccer. Will Phil keep his climbing a secret? Will he make up with his dad? Only reading the book can tell:)
